Road

There are two getaways by road to reach Ladakh. They are through Manali or Srinagar. The Manali-Leh highway is of 490 kms. The next option is via Srinagar. The distance of Srinagar-Leh is 434 kms and the highway is also called National Highway 1D (NH-1D)

Air

The nearest airport is at Leh 4km from Ladakh. It is connected by air to Jammu, Delhi and Srinagar.

Melli is well connected via the NH 31 (NH 31 Kalimpong, Dist – Darjeeling, West Bengal)

Take a train from Mumbai to Kolkata and from there you can hire a car to Melli.

The distance between Bangalore and Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary is 285.1 km and it can be covered in 5 to 8 hours depending on the route taken and the flow of traffic. There are 3 routes that one can choose from to reach Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary from Bangalore by road. The shortest route includes driving through NH 48 or an alternate route which goes via NH4. The third route which takes the most number of hours includes travelling via NH4 and SH 65.

The nearest International Airport is Mangalore International Airport, 191.2 kms via Chikkamagaluru-Sringeri Rd and NH13.

8. Barapole river, Coorg, Ponnampet

The first stretch of rapids after 600 meters of paddling the pool is called Morning coffee –  a level 2 range of rapid. The driving distance from Mumbai and Ponnampet is 1034 km by private car.

Air

There is no direct flight to Ponnampet so you can take a flight from Mumbai to Mangalore and then hire a private car to reach Ponnamet ,and the fastest way to reach Ponnampet is to take a flight to Kozhikode and then from Kozhikode hire a cab to reach Ponnampet.

Train

There is no direct train from Mumbai to Ponnampet. You can take train from Mumbai to Udupi and then hire a taxi to reach Ponnampet.
