Valley of Flowers is a meadow of apline flowers, varieties of animal species. It is UNESCO World Heritage Site and also a National Park. The Valley of Flowers Trek is an absolute delight for a trekker. One will be stunned with its beauty and who knows one might become a poet too! Such is the power of this valley.
In 1931 the valley was accidentally found by Frank Smythe, a British Mountaineer, while he was returning from an expedition from Mount Kamet. People believe that Valley of Flowers is the place from where Hanuman got the Sanjeevani Buti and people believe it still continues to grow there.

Day1 Drive from Haridwar to Govindghat or Joshimath via Joshimath and Devprayag (8-9 hrs)
Early Morning pick up from Haridwar Railway station. We start our 8 hrs drive towards Joshimath via Devprayag. Our destination for the day depends on the amount of time we reach to take. If we have enough time we go ahead till Govindghat and have our overnight stay there. If not we stop at Joshimath in the hotel for our overnight stay.We Arrive at Joshimath by the evening and check into a hotel. Dinner & overnight stay.
Day 2 Trek from Govindghat or Joshimath to Ghangaria
The trek starts from Govind Ghat. At Govindghat there is a gradual ascent. The trail is well maintained as it is a pilgrim trail to Ghangaria.On route to Ghangaria you will have to cross the pristine Alaknanda river. Upon arrival at Ghangria we check into a hotel. Later we explore the surroundings in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 3 Trek from Ghangaria to Valley Of Flowers and back
Early breakfast and then we start our trek towards the Valley Of Flowers from Ghangaria. The valley is 10 kms long, 2 kms wide. After walking through the zig zag trail it ascends straight which is full of apricot trees, terraced fields and vegetation. It leads into the beautiful Bhyundar valley alongside the Laxman Ganga River. After absorbing the beauty of the Valley Of Flowers we trek back to Ghangaria. Dinner & overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4 Trek from Ghangaria – Hemkund and back
In the morning we trek to Hemkund Sahib from Ghangaria. This is a steep climb. This is a holy sight for the Sikhs. In the Sikh holy book, the Sikh Guru Gobind Singh recounts that in a previous life, he meditated on the shores of a lake surrounded by seven snowcapped mountains now recognized as Hemkund. We visit the place and late afternoon trek back to Ghangaria. Dinner & overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5 Trek from Ghangaria – Govindghat</p> <p>
We trek back to Govindghat and from here we drive to Joshimath. It will depend on the time taken to reach Govindghat based on which we will decide to check in at govind Ghat or directly after the drive to Joshimath.. Rest of the day is free to explore this picturesque area.
Day 6 Drive back to Haridwar
Early morning we drive back Rishikesh/Haridwar with lunch enroute. We arrive at Rishikesh/Haridwar by evening. Trek ends with beautiful memories.
