The Lambari Trek will be the perfect first time introduction to trekking in the Himalayas for experienced and inexperienced trekkers alike. This is because it is a moderate trek that also boasts stunning mountain scenery.
Speaking about its scenic beauty, Lambari is not located in the ‘Great Himalayan National Park’, but it provides you with the best view of the GHNP. Not just this, when you reach the top of the Lambari Trek, you can see the whole Himalayan ranges, right from Dhauladhar range to Kinnaur. Lambari is a protected area and rich in its biodiversity. You can spot a lot of exotic birds here and it is also a home to the western Tragopan.
There are a few villages on the sides. The locals consider this mountain sacred as they believe it is home to the most powerful deities.

Day1 - Reporting at Gaidhar Base camp, Tirthan Valley
Elevation (approx): 4500 feet
All the trekkers will relax in the fresh air at the Base camp. After you freshen up, you will be given information about the place and the trek. In the evening, we will arrange a small acclimatization trek to acclimatize in Himachal Pradesh. Overnight stay & dinner at basecamp.
Day 2 - Base camp - Serolser lake
Elevation (approx): 10,000 feet
After breakfast we proceed towards Serolser lake. We will travel in a vehicle till Jalori Pass (A high mountain pass at 10,800 feet above sea level. The route to Jalori offers an almost 360 degree view of the Himalayas, Dhauladhar and Kinnaur ranges. We will reach Jalori pass to get a scenic view from the top and also visit Kali Mata Temple. We will then set out on the trail towards Serolser lake which will be a walk through thick Oak trees, Blue pine, Spruce, Fir and Deodar forests. Once we reach Serolser lake, we can see the majestic view of this widespread holy lake. In winters, the lake becomes totally covered by ice. Located among the tall kharshoo trees, the beauty of this lake is indescribable. We will spot the temple of Goddess ‘BUDHI NAGIN’ Mata here, followed by an Overnight Stay & Dinner at Serolser lake.
Day 3 - Serolser lake - Lakkad Nala
Elevation (approx): 10,400 feet
After breakfast we proceed towards Lakkad Nala. The trek from Serolser to Lakkad Nala is a tough and gradual vertical climb. The route is full of places of breathtaking scenery & high altitude flowers. Our camp will be held on the top most spot of Lakkad Nala, from here you can see views of Kinnaur, Shimla Mountains & other views of the valley. Overnight Stay & dinner at Lakkad Nala.
Day 4 - Lakkad Nala - Zhanj Nala
Elevation (approx): 10,200 feet
After having our breakfast we proceed towards Zhanj Nala. This trek is easier than the last one and very exciting too. On this trek route we will be introduced to a trail that runs up and down the hills and also a few long flat stretches to allow you to catch your breath. We will cover the Lambari (10,826 feet) top which is quite an adventure. This route of Lambari is a bit steep and there are many green fields, snow patches with some rare and unique flowers. We will also visit the Jogni Mata Temple. Overnight stay & dinner at Zhanj Nala.
Day 5 - Zhanj Nala - Jamala
Elevation (approx): 8,859 feet
After having our breakfast we proceed towards Jamala. After reaching Jamala, our camp will be held at an amazing location from which you will have a view of the snow covered Great Himalayan National Park Mountain. Overnight Stay & Dinner at Jamala village.
Day 6 - Jamala Village - Base Camp
Elevation (approx): 4,500 feet
After breakfast we proceed towards the base camp (Gaidhar Village). We will pass through a historical village named BANDAL. On the way you can spot different types of birds. At the SARCHI Village you can see old wooden houses that you might have never seen before. We can feel the culture of village and also interact with the villagers. From Jamala Village we can see the Great Himalayan National Park’s snowy mountain ranges. Reach base-camp till lunch time. The evening will be relaxed and you can share your experiences around the campfire. Overnight stay & dinner at base-camp.
Day 7 - Departure
After breakfast, participants depart with sweet memories & an amazing adventurous experience.
How to reach Gaidhar
From Delhi you can hire a private or public transport to Gaidhar. It is advisable to leave by 7pm in the evening so that the next day you reach early in the morning at Aut from where we pick you up. From Aut the pick up will be charged on actual basis. Confirm pick up with us before leaving for Aut.
