Kalavantin Durg is easily accessible from Panvel. It is one of the most adrenaline rushing treks you will ever venture on. Adjoining to the Kalavantin Pinnacle is the Prabalgad fort. Prabalgad fort is located between Matheran and Panvel. Situated on a height of 2320 ft, Parbalgad is a hill fort with mesmerizing views. Initially the fort was built to keep a watch on two forts , namely, Kalyan Fort and Panvel Fort. It was earlier known as Muranjan and later was renamed by Shivaji. Often confused with Kalavantin Durg, both Prabalgad and Kalavantin are different forts. Kalavantin lies to the north of Prabalgad.
